I have the honour to forward for your information six copies of a Report on indisal and Wealth Conditions in Hong Kong for the period 1st Jammary, 1942 31st Angust, 1945, which has been printed as a Colonial ofrios Paper, Easter No. 180.

2. You will be aware of the circumstances in which it was decided to print this report here, It would normally have been printed in Hong Kong but when the report was submitted to me by Doctor Selwyn-Clarke at your maggestion on the 3rd March of this year no civil administration existed in the Colony,
